Jaime Aranda nació en Tijuana, Baja California en 1949. Vivió su infancia en Tijuana, B.C. A los 21 años viajo a La Paz B.C. Sur donde se quedo varios años. Al regresar se fue a San Diego, California E.U.A. Vivió en San Diego hasta 2005, después regresando a Tijuana, B.C. Estudio la carrera de fotografía en Southwestern College, en Chula Vista, Ca. para después tomar mas clases en San Diego City College.
En el año de 1983 y 1984 quedo como finalista en dos (2) anuales de lo mejor de college photography, Photographers Forum, revista de Santa Barbara, California E.U.A. En 1984 acompaño al fotografo Felizardo Burquez, a la ciudad de México para cubrir el evento de la convención Internacional de Estilistas, fotografiando diferentes estilos de peinados y vestuarios. Actualmente hace fotografía digital, en estudio comercial de Felizardo Burquez, y trabajos especiales. · Exposiciones Colectivas

James Aranda was born in 1949 and raised in the city of Tijuana, Baja California, Mx. At the age of 21 he traveled to La Paz, located on the Baja California peninsula, where he lived for several years. He returned in 1975 to San Diego, where he made his home up until 2005. He returned to Tijuana, where he currently resides. James studied in the field of photography in Chula Vista, Ca. at South Western College to later continue his studies at San Diego City Collage. Over the course of 15 years he studied many aspects of photography which are as follows:
Among many accomplishments ,James competed in and went on to be a finalist twice in “ The best of college photography, Photographer’s Forum in a Santa Barbara Magazine, two years running, in 1983 and 1984. In his early years of photography he participated in events held by INJUVE, Instituto Nacional de la Juventud Mexicana, The National Institute of Mexican Youth, In La Paz, B.C. Mx. In 1973 and 1974. He took first palce in 1974, giving him the right to travel to Mexico City for the national competition, where he took 4th place. He was given an achievement recognition award by mexican president Luis Echeverria. Also in 1984 he accompanied another well established Photographer, Felizardo Burquez, to Mexico City to cover an International event, The International Stylists Convention. Jame’s job was to photograph the models with various hairstyles and fashion for this event. Today James has progressed in his art as the photographic industry has progressed. He now does digital photography, keeping up with the latest trends and technology in the industry were he has become an excellent and well established photographer.
